Oldham Seals designs, manufactures, tests and manages Jetpac® flexible pipework for the fuel, cooling, ballast, bilge, fire-main and propulsion systems that have to keep working under shock, vibration and fire. Designed to your pipework. Type approved. Supported on board for the life of the vessel.
Send the fluid, pressure, temperature, movement and space envelope. Our engineers confirm feasibility and the standard we would qualify to.
Every Jetpac® product is a variation on the same proven construction: integrally fire-resistant rubber, reinforced for shock and vibration, bonded to fittings in the alloy your system demands. Seven product families, around 7,000 straight-hose variants and 100 bellows variants [⚑ verify Q14], and bespoke assemblies for the shape a catalogue cannot meet.
Preformed to your pipework layout, leg lengths set per installation, movement in all three planes. 1" to 14" (25 to 350 mm) bore. [⚑ verify Q14]
Preformed 90° elbow assemblies →The dog-leg configuration for runs that turn back on themselves inside a machinery space. 1" to 14" (25 to 350 mm) bore. [⚑ verify Q14]
180° preformed hose assemblies →Built to your length and end fittings. Small bore tested to 200 bar (2,900 psi), large bore to 50 bar (725 psi). ½" to 12" (12 to 300 mm) bore. [⚑ verify Q14: hub page and product page disagree]
Straight hose assemblies →Expansion bellows with no restraining rings, so less weight and less cost than a metallic unit. 1¼" to 14" (32 to 350 mm) nominal. [⚑ verify Q14]
Rubber bellows →Flexible ducting for air and fume systems that have to move and still perform in a fire.
Ducting →Emergency air intake that opens on filter blockage and stays sealed against water, salt and dirt the rest of the time. Tank suction feet that cut suction loss and protect tank bottoms in fuel, ballast and bilge tanks.
By-pass valves and suction entry feet →From ¼" to 23" nominal bore [⚑ verify Q14], with fittings in copper-nickel 70/30 and 90/10, nickel aluminium bronze, phosphor bronze and super-austenitic stainless. Send us the drawing.
Bespoke assemblies and fittings →Jetpac® Rotary Flange held off the page until Q18 confirms it is still offered. [⚑ verify Q18]
IMAGE BRIEF — seven product photographs from the May 2026 shoot, one per card, consistent angle and ground.
It sits exactly where the movement, the heat and the shock are. Rigid pipework corrodes, cracks and carries every vibration into the compartment. A guarded metallic flexible adds weight and still needs restraining rings. An industrial hose has no naval type approval and cannot go on a warship. Jetpac® is built for the six problems below and qualified before it goes on board.
The rubber itself is fire-resistant, so there are no fire guards to fit, inspect or work around. Built to Def Stan 02-345: 15 minutes at 1,100°C while pressurised and vibrated. [⚑ verify Q13 before adding any "exceeds" figure]
Fire resistance and survivability →A high-shock, high-vibration construction that absorbs movement instead of transmitting it, and cuts structure-borne noise. Shock and vibration tested to naval standards. [⚑ verify Q13: name the standards]
Shock, vibration and noise →Preform geometry set by your layout, with movement in all three planes, for machinery spaces where nothing lines up and nothing has room.
Movement, misalignment and space →Lighter than a metallic expansion joint plus its guards and rings, and quicker to open when the system needs work.
Weight reduction versus metallic pipework →Every hose on board surveyed, RFID-tagged and registered, with replacement forecast before it expires. Jetrac surveys, exchanges and installs.
Through-life hose integrity →Fire, endurance, vacuum, pressure, pressure-pulsing with deflection and impulse, in our own test house, on rigs built to the standards you specify. [⚑ verify Q10: third-party scope]
Testing and qualification →More than 300 shipboard applications, mapped by system and compartment by engineers who have served at sea. [⚑ verify Q4, Q19: generalised list signed off by Lee] No platform is named and no vessel is identifiable. The systems are the ones every naval engineer knows.

Almost everything Oldham Seals makes goes to sea with a navy: surface ships and submarines for UK MOD(N) and its prime contractors, and for the navies of Canada, France, the United States, Australia and Spain. [⚑ verify Q4: Norway] More than forty years supplying UK MOD(N). The commercial marine, offshore and industrial work we take on gets the naval qualification path, not a lighter one.
Roll-on roll-off ferries and other commercial operators, offshore and energy, fluid power and special applications: a small, growing part of the business, supplied to the same fire, shock and vibration standard.
One loop, one company, for the life of the platform. Others can match a step. The loop is the part they cannot copy.
Send the fluid, pressure, temperature, movement and space envelope, and a drawing if you have one. Our engineers confirm feasibility and the standard to qualify to.
Preform geometry and leg lengths modelled in 2D and 3D CAD to your pipework. Fittings machined in-house in the alloy the environment demands. Tolerances advised per installation, in writing.
Built in Chichester, hydrostatically tested, qualified in our own test house to Def Stan 02-345 and your type-approval requirements, released with full certification.
Jetrac surveys, RFID-tags and registers every hose on board, forecasts replacement, supplies just in time and installs.
Every Jetpac® assembly is hydrostatically pressure tested before it leaves Chichester. Behind that sits a facility most suppliers do not have: fire test rigs at high and low pressure; endurance, vacuum and pressure testing; pressure-pulsing combined with flexibility and deflection; impulse testing; all on rigs built to the standards our customers specify. Material ageing, fluid resistance, smoke and toxicity are verified independently through RAPRA. If you need a part qualified to a naval or customer standard, ours or yours, we can test it. [⚑ verify Q10: standards covered, capacity, third-party scope]
Rubber ages. A hose that expires before its replacement is ordered becomes a concession with a name on it. Jetrac, Oldham Seals' field division, puts engineers on board to survey every flexible hose, tag it with an RFID chip (other manufacturers' hoses included), record its condition and criticality in a web-accessible register, forecast replacement, supply just in time and install. The people who made the hose are the people who fit it.
Three businesses, one fluid system. Oldham Seals designs and makes it. Jetrac surveys, registers and installs it. 'O' Rings Limited, a Trelleborg Sealing Solutions partner, supplies the seals around it. [⚑ verify Q7, Q8: group presentation and how much Jetrac lives on this site]
Three generations of Oldhams built this company around one job: keeping fluid moving safely inside ships that cannot fail. The same site designs in 2D and 3D CAD, machines fittings on its own CNC, cross-trains its workforce and runs an integrated ERP. And the same site answers the phone. [Ownership sentence pending ⚑ verify Q7]
Send us the fluid, pressure, temperature, movement and space you are working with, and a drawing if you have one. Our sales team routes it to the right engineer. You get feasibility and the standard we would qualify to within one working day. [⚑ verify Q20: response-time commitment] Your platform stays confidential: we do not publish what we build for you. [⚑ verify: confidentiality wording Lee will stand behind]
